Augie Chavez, President

Augie founded Gecko SSS in 2005 and serves as it's President.  He is an industry veteran of 20+ years.  Gecko primarily serves the commercial market in the state of Texas and also does specialty work.   He immigrated from Mexico when he was 5, residing in California.  He attended the University of California, Santa Barbara where he was introduced to the surfacing industry.

Kate Dillenburg, 2019 Secretary / Past President

At Bisley Fabrication, Kate Bisley guides an expert group of professional craftsmen as they provide an ever widening array of surfacing products for both the residential and commercial markets. The company was founded by her father, Jim Bisley, in 1987 and serves Wisconsin and the U.P. of Michigan.

Paul "Max" Le Pera, Vice President

P. Max Le Pera's tenure in the K & B Industry spans over 20 years and has held executive leadership roles in large scale fabrication, distributor and manufacturing businesses.   After completing a B.S. in economics, he earned a Fellowship to pursue two MBAs with concentrations in Corporate Finance and Accounting graduating Suma Cum Laude in both.   He has 3 beautiful children, loves the outdoors, loves giving back and is passionate about staying active and involved in our industry.

Mike Langenderfer, Treasurer

After graduating from the University of Toledo with a Bachelor’s in Business Management, Mike started his management career as an officer in the Marine Corps.   He has a broad range of experience in the construction industry and has owned The Countertop Shop for the past 28 years.

Matt Kraft, Director

Matt Kraft is the General Manager of Custom Marble Inc. CMI has been serving the wholesale K&B market in Missouri and Illinois since 1978.  Matt grew up casting cultured marble at CMI, his family's business, while in high school and while attending college.  After graduating from the University of Illinois in 2000, Matt started as a supplier to the cast polymer industry with Gruber Systems. CMI expanded in 2003 and he returned to start up and manage a solid surface division, eventually envolving into quartz and granite.

Steve Stoddard, Director

Steve is the President of Advanced Surfaces, Inc in Corry, PA.  He started Advanced Surfaces in 1994 as a Solid Surface fabricator supplying the local K&B market and soon after started to supply the home center market with solid surface. In 2007, Advanced Surfaces opened a 2ndshop to supply granite and quartz. Steve has been involved with ISFA from the start of the association.

Adam Albee, Director

Adam started Counter Culture in 2010.  Prior to that, he managed Lincoln Laminating for 6 years.  Counter Culture began as a retailer and is now a full service granite and quartz fabricator.  Adam has a Bachelor of Science from Bellevue University in Marketing Management.

Kelley Montana, Director

Kelley is the second-generation business owner of Humboldt Countertops & Surfacing, a company that has provided laminate, solid surface quartz and stone products in Northern California for more than 30 years.  Kelley has ten years’ experience in the custom cabinets and construction industry.  She has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from San Jose State University.

Austin Maxwell

Austin Maxwell, Director

Austin Maxwell is the manager and second generation owner of Maxwell Counters, Inc. Austin grew up spending his summer breaks sanding Corian and filing end caps, but joined the company full time in 2015, after graduating with honors from Illinois Wesleyan University, where he studied Business Management and Financial Economics. Austin most enjoys taking a new approach to an old industry. With his fresh perspective, Austin has implemented numerous technological changes at Maxwell Counters to streamline operations and increase quality. In addition to working at Maxwell Counters, Austin is on the board of directors for the United Way of McLean County, where he focuses on increasing millennial engagement with United Way.  Outside of work, Austin can be found golfing, reading, boating, and going to the gym.

Steve Mast

Steve Mast, Director

After finishing his MBA at the University of Washington in 2004, Steve joined the Portland based Precision Countertops. Over the next 14 years, Steve helped manage the company, as they grew into servicing 6 states and over 350 employees. Precision is one of the largest fabricators in the US, and installs all surfaces from LA to Anchorage, AK to Billings, MT every day.  Steve loves to travel within the industry, whether it be to the factories in Italy and Brazil to purchase natural stone or the various quartz plants around the world. He has a real passion for business, specifically in the way technology is changing our industry. He works closely with various software companies, like Moraware to improve the quality and speed of communication with employees and customers. Steve has also served on Home Depot's Service Provider Council, and he visits fabricators around the country regularly to learn and share best practices with others.  When Steve is not at the office, he can be found working his Christmas Tree farm and Upick blueberries with his wife and children.

 Eric Tryon
Eric Tryon, Director

Eric Tryon is the President and CEO of Clio Holdings, where he parlays the lessons he has learned over two and a half decades of professional success as an entrepreneur and business owner into shaping the future of the nation’s largest countertop fabrication and installation business in the U.S. In 2002, Eric founded the award-winning Premier Surfaces, a Southeastern U.S. countertop fabrication and installation business. Eric’s consistent focus on the importance of relationships, building a close-knit company culture and prioritizing customer satisfaction would help him grow the business to include more than 170 employees over four locations. Eric has numerous industry accolades and was recognized as the City of Atlanta’s top entrepreneur in 2015. Eric remains active outside of the office. When he isn’t spending time with his family outside of Atlanta, he is an avid fisherman and sportsman, and an energetic high school football fan as well as former coach.

Jim Callaghan, Associate Member Representative

Jim Callaghan is the Sales Director NA-Capital Equipment for Gran Quartz since 2009.  Jim’s tenure in the stone industry spans over 20 years.  He has held management leadership roles in both fabrication and distribution businesses.  He holds a B.S in Social Science from Michigan State University as well as a MBA  from Central Michigan University.   He has 3 beautiful and sons with his wife Kate.

Joe Connolly

Joe Connolly, Associate Member Representative

Joe Connolly is the Midwest Sales rep for Sasso, whom he has worked with for over 17 years. Joe was the 1st U.S. trained technician for Sasso, and in addition to selling Sasso products, he also uses them in his own fabrication company, Sealstone Countertops. Joe's experience with equipment runs deep as he also previously worked for USG Machinery/USG Robotics where he designed, engineered, and built CNC machines, and flat polishing machines. When he's not representing Sasso, or working in his own shop, Joe enjoys spending time with his family, church, and completing auto-restorations on vintage trucks.
