Committees at ISFA
Volunteers are an association's lifeblood, driving growth and impact. A structured committee process is vital to member engagement and retention.
Our Committees
Advocacy Tracking, monitoring, and advising on laws and regulations is a crucial service ISFA offers members. This Committee assists ISFA’s Board of Directors in prioritizing advocacy initiatives. The committee focuses on the following:
- Monitor and track federal, state and local policies impacting the industry while keeping ISFA members well-informed.
- Empower ISFA members with the tools to engage and educate policymakers on key issues to ensure informed decision-making.
Member Engagement Committee The Member Engagement Committee’s mission is to proactively grow membership, engagement, and retention in ISFA. The committee focuses on the following:
- Recommend strategies for continuous improvement to enhance value to ISFA members.
- Serves as a communications conduit between prospective, current and past members and ISFA.
- Acts as an ambassador at events.
Safety and Education The Safety and Education Committee guides topics for ISFA's training offered to the industry. The committee brings collective knowledge to improve the industry. The committee focuses on the following:
- Provide input and guidance on surface industry training offerings in support of members to advance knowledge and skills development.
- Review satisfaction survey results from training programs and recommend implementing responses to key findings.
Associate Partner Member Advisory Group The group advises ISFA’s Board of Directors regarding issues and concerns affecting them related to the surfacing industry.
- Provide input and guidance on opportunities for Associate Partner members to help move the surfacing industry forward by providing thought leadership, education, and training for fabricators.
- Review/comment on current and proposed membership, sponsorship and advertising opportunities for Associate Partner members in a constructive, thoughtful and positive manner.
Volunteer Roles and Expectations
- Ability to volunteer time for meetings
- Contribute to discussions at all committee meetings
- Inform staff liaison if they are unable to attend a scheduled meeting
- Travel to ISFA Annual Conference meeting
Time Commitment
Committee meetings are held virtually bi-monthly or quarterly. Each committee meets in person at the ISFA Annual Conference. Attendance is expected at all meetings. As the committee works on tasks and projects, additional meetings may be needed.
