Mineral Surfaces Training

Program Overview

ISFA’s Mineral Surfaces Training provides attendees with classroom and hands-on training of fabrication for this increasingly popular category, which includes porcelain, sintered and ultra-compact materials.

Attendees will be provided with the skills and knowledge in all facets of the fabrication process, including handling, layout, cutting, polishing and installation, as well as chip and scratch repair, saw setup, blades and cutting speeds. Participants will fabricate a 2 cm kitchen as a group.

Alexander Stepanov, Laminam

About our Trainer

Alexandre Stepanov is the Technical Support and Fabrication Specialist for Laminam North America. Prior to joining Laminam, Alex was a stone fabricator for over 14 years with specific concentration on large format porcelain slab fabrication. Alex’s extensive experience includes bridge saw operation, hands on fabrication, installation, project management, repairs, client care and any other day to day activities performed in a fabrication shop setting.
